Doctor of Chiropractic

For as long as I can remember I have loved people, animals and nature. Living in and serving the people of the Monterey Peninsula for over 25 years is a continual blessing. I bring this passion to my work as a Doctor of Chiropractic. In our office you will experience genuine warmth, caring, expertise and results. The warmth and caring come from my heart and the expertise comes from many years of dedication, hard work and continuing education.

My journey began in high school with a fascination of the human body. It continued at Humbolt State University where I received a bachelors degree in nutrition in 1979. From there I went on to complete two years of pre-med studies with a focus on biology, zoology and physics. In 1986, I was accepted into Palmer College of Chiropractic-West, in San Jose, California. Upon graduation in 1990, I went into private practice with my husband, Dr. Richard Westbrook. Each year I take re-licensing and advanced technique courses to keep current on the latest developments in the field. The adjusting technique I use is called “Activator Methods.” This advanced instrument adjusting technique is both gentle and effective.

A Healthy Lifestyle

The Monterey Peninsula has been home to my wonderful husband and partner, Dr. Richard Westbrook, my beautiful daughters, Lauren and Angela and myself since 1991. I’ve always loved the great outdoors and there is no better place for me to enjoy it than here! I love taking long walks with our dogs through the forest and along the magnificent stretches of beach. I also enjoy taking ballet classes at the Carmel Academy of Performing Arts and I have been a member of the Professional Women’s Network for over 23 years. My regular Chiropractic adjustments, Juice Plus+ and Isagenix help me maintain a healthy lifestyle. Every day I thank God for the privilege of living, working and giving to this wonderful community.

Dr. Richard Westbrook, D.C.

Doctor of Chiropractic

“Amazing” best describes my personal experience as a Chiropractic patient. In high school, low back pain limited my ability to run track. After only my first week of care, I won the next race. Three months later, the miserable allergies I had were dramatically reduced. I soon realized the power of a Chiropractic adjustment and the innate ability of the body to heal itself when free from nerve interference.

I studied pre-med at Cuesta College before I was accepted at Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in San Jose, California. During my four years at Palmer, I studied the Art, Science and Philosophy of Chiropractic. This rigorous curriculum not only prepared me academically, it also inspired me to have a lifelong passion for learning about ways to better serve my patients.

Addressing Your Health Concerns

In practice, my objectives are to address all of your health concerns by performing a very thorough history and evaluation. I will then sit down and explain what is wrong, how I can help, how long it will take, and how much it will cost. I use a wide variety of techniques that are designed to get you well as fast as possible. I work best with people who are very committed to being well and staying well.

On a more personal note, I met my future wife and colleague, Dr. Cynthia Martin-Westbrook while at Palmer (Wow! A degree and a wife!). After graduation in 1991, we immediately went into private practice in Monterey. We have two wonderful daughters that we are very proud of. And yes, we adjust each other and the kids regularly.
